Located in beautiful Mount Dora, FL, Tangerine Schoolhouse is a preschool and private school providing thoughtful education and care to students age 2 through grade 5
We have 2 multi-age preschool classrooms which allow students to learn from one another, develop social and emotional skills, and make the most of their preschool experience! We have one small multi-grade private school classroom for 10 students K-5 for engaged learners who want a holistic educational approach.

I ask the kids what they do each day and they often “don’t remember”... Today they surprised us with the bulk of the alphabet in sign language! I was blown away. I know they are learning more about the world around them and putting it into practice, versus “busy work” and such. I also appreciate all of the unstructured outdoor play.
Our family loves everything about this school! It has a lovely quaint and natural feel with nutritious food served throughout the day. The fact that they have added summer camp for early elementary is a plus too. The over-and-above attitude from the staff really lets us know they genuinely love our kids and their profession. Our boys love it there! We love being a part of the Tangerine Schoolhouse family!
Our son has been attending for almost a year now and started at two years old. he has grown so much in his speech, has friends, loves his teachers, art projects and playing! He talks about his school, teachers and peers every day and even on the weekend. It has done wonders for him developmentally, but more importantly he's a very happy boy!
